Simple Sweet Sour Spareribs | |
Ingredients | |
3 lbs. spareribs (cut up)
1 cup rice vinegar 1-2/3 cup granulated sugar 1 T. salt 2 T. shoyu (soy sauce) 3/4 cup water Large clove garlic 4 Large fingers ginger, sliced 1/4 t. black pepper 2 bay leaves, crushed sliced turnips (optional) |

Instructions |

Combine all ingredients in a large pot except spareribs. Blend well. Add spareribs; bring to a boil. Simmer for 45-60 minutes. Remove excess oil. Thicken with (1) Tbsp. cornstarch mixed in 3 Tbsp water. Serve over bed of parboiled and shredded won bok cabbage, beansprouts or cabbage. | |
